Pamela Geller: Michelle Obama “sees herself” in UK Muslim women

The First Lady passes up an opportunity to speak out about real oppression. “Michelle O. ‘sees herself’ in British Muslim women,” by Pamela Geller, WND, June 21, 2015:


Michelle Obama recently visited the U.K., where, according to The Mirror, she “compared her struggle to succeed as a young black woman in America to the experience of inner-city Muslim girls.”

She “struggled to hold back tears,” said the Mirror, as she spoke to an audience of hijab-wearing Muslim girls at the Mulberry School for Girls in London’s notorious Muslim area, Tower Hamlets.

“Girls like you inspire me and impress me every single day,” she said. “When I look out at all these young women, I see myself. In so many ways, your story is my story.”

In saying this, Michelle Obama was implying that both she and the Muslim girls she was addressing faced oppression, discrimination and disadvantage. She was, in other words, advancing the false Muslims-as-victims narrative that Islamic advocacy groups such as the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, work so hard to cultivate in the U.S.

First lady Michelle Obama delivered the commencement address at Tuskegee University last weekend. She’ll do it again at Ohio’s Oberlin College — the UC Berkeley of the Midwest, Ground Zero for racial grievance-mongering and fake hate crimes — next week.

Commencement FLOTUS is not the same first lady who shows up on “Ellen” or “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” wearing her pastel cardigan, Chuck Taylors and a megawatt grin. No, this frowny-faced Michelle Obama talks and squawks like Al Sharpton in Jimmy Choo kitten heels. At Tuskegee, FLOTUS traded her affable TV persona for the divisive social justice complainer we all came to know and loathe during her husband’s first presidential campaign.

Terwijl de Amerikanen de broekriem aanhalen, gaat Obama's vrouw met veel zwier op een luxevakantie in Spanje, een veertigtal vrienden en vriendinnen op sleeptouw. Ze huurde 60 kamers in het super-de-luxe hotel Villa Padierna in Marbella. De veiligheid alleen al kost de Amerikaanse belastingbetaler meerdere honderdduizenden dollars. De New York Daily News vergeleek haar met Marie Antoinette, de vrouw van Louis XVI. Blind voor enerzijds de harde tijden voor het plebs, en anderzijds blind voor het einde van het regime van haar man. Amerikanen ergeren zich aan het buitenlands aspect van deze reis: beter het geld in de VS uit te geven, en het zou een stuk goedkoper zijn.

Sommigen in de Amerikaanse pers menen dat de Obama's begrepen hebben dat ze nog slechts een goeie twee jaar in het Witte Huis zullen mogen wonen. Dus: Après nous le déluge ! Profiteer er nog maar eens goed van. Dit jaar hebben de Obama's al van verschillende vakanties genoten, en van enkele uitgebreide feestjes met beroemdheden op het Witte Huis. Zodra Michelle Obama terug is van Spanje staat er nog een aantal dagen Golf van Mexico op het menu, gevolgd door een uitgebreide vakantie op Martha's Vineyard, een eiland voor de kust van Massachusetts, speeltuin van de superrijken. Voor het einde van de zomer zullen de Obama's van acht vakanties genoten hebben dit jaar.
