…zegt niet een boze islamcriticus, maar de langjarige regeringschef van Singapore en sinds 2004 Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew (foto) in zijn nieuwe boek »Hard Truths«. De 87-jarige schrijft o.a. dat men mensen van alle huidskleuren, rassen, talen en religies in een staat kan integreren – met uitzondering van moslims. En hij voegde er aan toe: »Ik zou tegenwoordig zeggen, we kunnen alle…religies en rassen integreren, behalve de islam.«

Lee Kuan Yew heeft een politieke carrière gemaakt waarvan westerlingen slechts kunnen dromen. Als medeoprichter en eerste secretaris-generaal van de People’s Action Party (PAP), leidde hij de partij naar acht enorme verkiezingsoverwinningen van 1959 tot 1990, was in 1965 de manager van de afsplitsing van Singapore van Maleisië en van de verandering van het land van een min of meer onderontwikkelde koloniale buitenpost zonder grondstoffen in een Aziatische tijgerstaat. Hij is nog altijd een van de meest invloedrijke politici van Zuidoost-Azië.

Dweilen met de kraan open

Het zit minister voor Immigratie en Asiel Gerd Leers (CDA) niet mee. Hij moet het aantal immigranten beperken, een prioriteit van het kabinet. Maar wat Leers ook onderneemt, telkens vindt hij een rechtertje rechter op zijn pad. Begin januari bijvoorbeeld bepaalde het Gerechtshof in Den Haag dat uitgeprocedeerde asielzoekers samen met hun kinderen moeten worden opgevangen. Leers wilde hen juist uit elkaar halen. Nederland zou wel de kinderen moeten opvangen, maar hun ouders op straat kunnen zetten. Dat zou hen ertoe aanzetten de hoop op een verblijfsvergunning te laten varen en mee te werken aan terugkeer.

Nog diezelfde week werd de minister weer op zijn vingers getikt. De Raad van State bepaalde dat teams van de Koninklijke Marechaussee niet langer illegalen mogen aanhouden bij de grens. En alsof dit voor het kabinet allemaal niet erg genoeg is, heeft het er alle schijn van dat ook Leers jongste plan een juridische toets niet zal doorstaan. De minister wil dat 'asielzoekers' die met hun advocaatjes eindeloos blijven doorprocederen tegen uitzetting, hun beroep in eigen land afwachten, maar dat zou dan weer in strijd zijn met het Europees Verdrag tot bescherming van de Rechten van de Mens en met het VN-Vluchtelingenverdrag...

How to Choose Better Immigrants

Is it time to say goodbye to fair play in the politics of Australian population growth? Welcome to a new, hard-nosed concept in immigration—the Successful Integration Index.

The main idea of this article is to offer a practical and objective tool for selecting immigrants, based on the record of immigrant groups already settled in Australia. At present we choose immigrants based on their predicted future value to society—judging by their skills, age, capital, connections to Australia and so on. However, such predictions are fallible.

How can we predict the future ability of potential immigrants to integrate into the new and sometimes alien culture of contemporary Australia? I suggest including the statistically valid record of integration into Australian life of the immigrant group a potential settler is a part of. This review could be based on the country of origin or ethnicity or religious affiliation or all of these indicators together. But until more sophisticated techniques can be developed, country of origin would have to suffice for now.

As an indicator of future behaviour, the past is one of the most reliable predictors we have. When we look for someone to do a job of work, the most important criterion in our decision is the previous experience of the individual. We use the individual’s past experience to predict the likelihood of future employment success. In psychiatry the assessment of an individual’s likelihood of suicide depends to a considerable degree on the existence of previous suicidal attempts. The assessment of an individual’s dangerousness is also based mostly on any history of violence.

The validity of basing predictions on the previous experience of individuals has been demonstrated countless times, aberrations and mistakes notwithstanding. If we were to accept that a group of people from the same background would, statistically, have some common features, then the same group of people would statistically have similar responses to the same conditions, pressures and challenges. It is not unreasonable, therefore, to extrapolate this hypothesis to the supposition that the various immigration groups’ responses to the challenges of immigration and absorption would have consistent statistical patterns, and that these patterns would vary from group to group.

It therefore makes no sense not to use the previous integration and absorption track record of various immigrant groups in assessing their future members’ statistical suitability for settlement in Australia. Those who ignore the lessons of history are bound to repeat them.

Today the Egyptian regime faces its gravest threat since Anwar Sadat's assassination 30 years ago. As protesters take to the street for the third day in a row demanding the overthrow of 82-year old President Hosni Mubarak, it is worth considering the possible alternatives to his regime.

On Thursday afternoon, Egyptian presidential hopeful Mohammed ElBaradei, the former head of the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency returned to Egypt from Vienna to participate in anti-regime demonstrations.

As IAEA head, Elbaradei shielded Iran's nuclear weapons program from the Security Council. He repeatedly ignored evidence indicating that Iran's nuclear program was a military program rather than a civilian energy program. When the evidence became too glaring to ignore, Elbaradei continued to lobby against significant UN Security Council sanctions or other actions against Iran and obscenely equated Israel's purported nuclear program to Iran's.

His actions won him the support of the Iranian regime which he continues to defend. Just last week he dismissed the threat of a nuclear armed Iran telling the Austrian News Agency, "There's a lot of hype in this debate," and asserting that the discredited 2007 US National Intelligence Estimate that claimed Iran abandoned its nuclear weapons program in 2003 remains accurate.

Elbaradei's support for the Iranian ayatollahs is matched by his support for the Muslim Brotherhood. This group, which forms the largest and best organized opposition movement to the Mubarak regime is the progenitor of Hamas and al Qaida. It seeks Egypt's transformation into an Islamic regime that will stand at the forefront of the global jihad. In recent years, the Muslim Brotherhood has been increasingly drawn into the Iranian nexus along with Hamas. Muslim Brotherhood attorneys represented Hizbullah terrorists arrested in Egypt in 2009 for plotting to conduct spectacular attacks aimed at destroying the regime.

Elbaradei has been a strong champion of the Muslim Brotherhood. Just this week he gave an interview to Der Spiegel defending the jihadist movement. As he put it, "We should stop demonizing the Muslim Brotherhood. ...[T]hey have not committed any acts of violence in five decades. They too want change. If we want democracy and freedom, we have to include them instead of marginalizing them."

The Muslim Brotherhood for its part has backed Elbaradei's political aspirations. On Thursday it announced it would demonstrate at ElBaradei's side the next day.

The Taliban were able to impose their version of justice in part because northern Afghanistan has been neglected in the post-Taliban administration. Kunduz province, where the stoning took place, is one of the primary economic hubs in northern Afghanistan and was one of the safest areas in the country. Until 2008, there was little violence and little evidence of Taliban presence.

But today, across large areas of northern Afghanistan, inadequate and corrupt governance has combined with determined efforts by militants, and areas that were once safe are now under strong Taliban influence, and in some cases, under Taliban control.

Hier gaat onze politie, die dus nog niet eens de straatterroristjes in onze prachtwijken de baas kan, de Afghaanse politie opleiden.

A running theme in my recent commentaries has been the need to secure the safety of Western countries by limiting who enters them. I think most Jihadwatch readers are already convinced that the admission of millions of Muslims into Europe was a catastrophe on the order of... well, what historical incident equals it? The final outcome remains to be seen, so let me lay out a range of possibilities.

If the influx is stopped in the next few years, and Western societies overcome the self-gelding political correctness and hysterical scrupulosity that drives them to hold their own societies to an inhuman standard of Kantian selflessness--while endlessly indulging the sins of newcomers--it's possible that we will keep our freedoms intact without a major violent confrontation. For that to happen, we'd need to slam shut our borders, cut welfare programs that allow recent immigrants to breed irresponsibly on the taxpayers' dime, rigorously enforce laws suppressing sedition, infiltrate and expose terror networks already in our midst, and push back hard against attempts to force an alien religion into our cultural mainstream. If all that were to happen, there would be significant unrest among Muslim communities lasting several decades, but in general the level of violence would be low. We'd essentially have to reduce Islamic enclaves to the condition of the Basques--midsized, deeply disgruntled minorities treasuring claims against our territory, without the power to do much more than disrupt the peace, and occasionally murder some policemen. (Of course, the Basques have old, and in some ways legitimate grievances, since they really were here first--while the Muslims have none--but that's not really the issue.) If all those happy events were to come about, perhaps through the secret release of massive doses of testosterone into the water supply, then the decision of wretched socialists like Francois Mitterand to flood their motherlands with Saracens might be comparable to some mid-level historical blunder--like Napoleon's attack on Russia.

Europe On Trial "What is the Judge Going to Find Me Guilty of, Quoting the Koran?"

When Austrian anti-sharia activist Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff stood in court November 28 to defend herself against the charge of "incitement of hatred," her alleged "crime" was to have given a seminar on the subject of Islam in Europe, during which she quoted the Koran and several prominent Islamic scholars.

The case was suspended until January 18, when she will be back in court facing the possibility of receiving a sentence of up to three years in jail. In the meantime, although the Austrian media has largely refused to report the case, Mrs. Sabaditsch-Wolff has been garnering attention elsewhere for her activism. She recently visited Israel with a small delegation of European politicians. Sarah Palin has called the delegation to offer her support, and author Bat Ye'or has also sent a letter of support.

"It is so important to fight this fight," Sabaditsch-Wolff said recently, "and not to give up. I feel if ever I have to be in court, this is a very worthy cause."

Mrs. Sabaditsch-Wolff's legal problems began when she presented a three-part seminar to the Freedom Education Institute, attached to the Austrian Freedom Party. Veronika Dolna, a young journalist for the Left-wing News magazine attended the first two parts, recording the second part and about 30 minutes of the first.

Mrs. Sabaditsch-Wolff has since been studying Islam for about ten hours a day in preparation for her court case, although she says that "religion should not be in the courtroom. It does not belong there. How can you explain in court the gates of Ijtihad [questioning,]… that they have been closed.," she said.

"What is the judge going to do with information… that there cannot be any change in Islam as long as the gates of Ijtihad are closed. What is she going to judge on? Is she judging me or is she judging the Koran? What is she going to find me guilty of? Of quoting the Koran?"

If I am pessimistic about the future of liberty, it is because I am pessimistic about the strength of the English-speaking nations, which have, in profound ways, surrendered to forces at odds with their inheritance. “Declinism” is in the air, but some of us apocalyptic types are way beyond that. The United States is facing nothing so amiable and genteel as Continental-style “decline,” but something more like sliding off a cliff.

In the days when I used to write for Fleet Street, a lot of readers and several of my editors accused me of being anti-British. I’m not. I’m extremely pro-British and, for that very reason, the present state of the United Kingdom is bound to cause distress. So, before I get to the bad stuff, let me just lay out the good. Insofar as the world functions at all, it’s due to the Britannic inheritance. Three-sevenths of the G7 economies are nations of British descent. Two-fifths of the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council are—and, by the way, it should be three-fifths: The rap against the Security Council is that it’s the Second World War victory parade preserved in aspic, but, if it were, Canada would have a greater claim to be there than either France or China. The reason Canada isn’t is because a third Anglosphere nation and a second realm of King George VI would have made too obvious a truth usually left unstated—that the Anglosphere was the all but lone defender of civilization and of liberty. In broader geopolitical terms, the key regional powers in almost every corner of the globe are British-derived—from Australia to South Africa to India—and, even among the lesser players, as a general rule you’re better off for having been exposed to British rule than not: Why is Haiti Haiti and Barbados Barbados?

Islam is het probleem

Naar aanleiding van de recente aanslagen op Kopten in Egypte, wil ik als Nederlandse Kopt mijn ongenoegen uiten over de situatie in Egypte. Sinds 1970 zijn er steeds meer aanslagen geweest op Koptische Christenen, waarvan een van de meest bloedige dus op de dag waarop het nieuwe jaar werd gevierd, ongeveer twee weken geleden. Een goed overzicht van de aanslagen op Kopten staat op Wikipedia. In tegenstelling tot wat de Moslim Broederschap in Egypte propageert, dat Islam de oplossing is voor alle problemen in Egypte, is het voor Kopten overduidelijk dat de Islam niet de oplossing is, maar juist het probleem.

Maar het probleem is niet 40 jaar oud. Het probleem is al begonnen sinds de Islamitische inval in Egypte in het jaar 641. Een inval die zeker niet vredig was, zoals islamitische apologeten u graag willen doen geloven, en het was al zeker geen zelfverdediging vanuit islamitische hoek. De Arabieren vielen binnen om de Byzantijnen verdrijven en de islamitische staat te bouwen, geheel volgens de idealen van Mohammed. De Jizya werd ingesteld (Koran 9:29), Arabisch werd de officiële taal, de tongen van mensen die in het openbaar Koptisch (de originele Egyptische taal voordat de Arabische taal kwam) spraken werden afgehakt, Koptische vrouwen werden verkracht.

Op 1 december 2010 kwam het tot de eerste zelfmoordaanslag in Scandinavië. Taimur Abdulwahab, een geboren Irakees, moslim en Zweeds staatsburger met vrouw en kinderen in Luton, Engeland, zorgde onbedoeld voor een springstofexplosie in de buurt van een drukke winkelstraat in Stockholm. Kort voordat hij tientallen mensen kon vermoorden.


Minister van buitenlandse zaken Carl Bildt, een hartstochtelijk voorstander van een volledig lidmaatschap van Turkije in de Europese Unie en van de islam als een gevestigd deel van de Europese cultuur, zei: »We hebben extreem geluk gehad…dat wil zeggen, een paar minuten later en een paar honderd meter verder zou catastrofaal zijn geweest.« De Zweedse geheime dienst en een persbureau kregen een E-mail met audiodata, waarin een man alle verborgen Moedjahedien (islamitische heilige strijders) ertoe opriep »dat in Europa, en vooral in Zweden, de tijd is gekomen om terug te slaan.« Hij bekritiseerde Zweden vanwege zijn militaire aanwezigheid in Afghanistan en zijn acceptatie van Lars Vilks, die een paar karikaturen van Mohammed heeft gemaakt. De boodschap waarschuwde, dat »nu jullie kinderen, dochters en zusters sterven zoals onze broeders en zusters sterven.«

Jarenlang werd ons verteld, dat plegers van zelfmoordaanslagen, die zichzelf in burgerlijke gebieden in Israël de lucht injagen, »vrijheidsstrijders tegen de Israëlische bezetting« zouden zijn. Betekent dit, dat deze moslim zichzelf uit protest tegen de Zweedse bezetting van Stockholm de lucht injoeg?

Zweden heeft geen koloniale historie, in ieder geval niet buiten Noord-Europa. Het is een zelfbenoemde voorvechter voor landen van de Derde Wereld en heeft zijn op twee na grootste stad bijna overgelaten aan geïmmigreerde bendes, en ook belangrijke delen van andere steden. De Zweedse autoriteiten maken gebruik van de meest extreme methodes die men zich kan voorstellen, om iedere tegenspraak van de oorspronkelijk Zweedse bewoners te onderdrukken, die te lijden hebben onder een etnische verdrijving uit hun eigen land. De autoriteiten staan in geval van conflicten altijd aan de kant van de immigranten. Moslims in Zweden kunnen de autochtonen net zoveel pesten en lastig vallen als ze willen, hebben toegang tot allerlei mogelijke sociale voorzieningen en bezitten een veel hogere levensstandaard dan dat ze zouden hebben in hun oorspronkelijke landen van herkomst. Kortom: ze hebben geen voorstelbare, verstandige reden om te klagen, en toch blazen ze zichzelf op.

In Zweden falen alle gebruikelijke smoesjes van de multiculturalisten en linksen van de hele westerse wereld. Er blijft dus slechts één mogelijke verklaring over, de enige die nooit in de westerse mainstream-media wordt genoemd: dat moslims en hun cultuur absoluut niet met onze waarden en onze samenleving compatible zijn.

Voorkomen niet beter dan genezen volgens AIVD en NCTb?

De extremistische groepering Sharia4Holland roept moslims op ten strijde te trekken om van Nederland een islamitische staat te maken. De AIVD en NCTb vinden het te vroeg om in te grijpen, maar houden 'de vinger aan de pols'.

en:

Op internet profileert Shariah4Holland zich als een ’groep jongeren uit Nederland’ die bereid is ’te vechten voor de wetgeving van Allah’. Ook schrijven ze pas te stoppen ’tot de dood ons zal inhalen of de vlag van shariah zal waaien boven het Koninklijke Huis in Den Haag’.

Geef ze vooral de ruimte. We vechten daar niet meer, blijkbaar vinden de AIVD en NCTb het prima als we straks hier moeten vechten. Toch?

Wat is de reden voor de bagatelliserende houding van met name de NCTb en deelt u onze mening dat dit een politiek-correcte wanvertoning is die door u gecorrigeerd dient te worden?

Deelt u onze opvatting dat deze organisatie opgerold en verboden moet worden en dat de organisatie en haar leden zoveel mogelijk ons land dienen te verlaten en dat in Nederland geen plaats is voor het abjecte barbaarse rechtssysteem genaamd sharia? Zo neen, waarom niet?

Why Obama Surrendered the Missile Shield

Documents from the State Department published by WikiLeaks show that the Obama administration surrendered the missile shield previously planned by the Bush administration to Europe because of Russian demands, not because of any supposed intel reports.

The original missile defense scheme was devised by the Bush administration, which persuaded Poland and the Czech Republic to authorize missile defense systems (ten unarmed interceptors and a radar) to be deployed on their soil. In April 2008, Bush outmaneuvered Vladimir Putin by obtaining an endorsement of this scheme from all NATO allies before the Russian leader reached Bucharest for the NATO-Russia summit.

Russia has always opposed this scheme, putatively because the scheme would undermine Russia's nuclear deterrent (which it wouldn't -- ten unarmed interceptors can't undermine an arsenal of hundreds of ICBMs and SLBMs as well as 113 strategic bombers). Really, Russia is in the middle of selling a nuclear reactor and tons of nuclear fuel to Iran, and the Kremlin doesn't want the West to be able to defend itself against the incipient Iranian nuclear threat. Russia is also eager to claw Central Europe back into its sphere of influence.

Bush wisely chose not to succumb to Moscow, but he was replaced in 2009 by Barack Obama.

Bloeme Evers-Emden heeft als onderduiker ervaren wat het betekent om volledig afhankelijk te zijn van andere mensen. ‘Mijn kinderen durven me niet meer te vertellen wat ze op straat meemaken.

NOG ÉÉN KEER heeft ze haar ouderlijk huis bezocht. In haar eentje, enkele weken nadat ze vanuit Auschwitz op een vrachtwagen was teruggekeerd naar Amsterdam. Emotioneel geladen voorwerpen, ondergebracht bij de buren, kreeg ze niet mee. ‘Een keurig gezin, maar toch niet keurig genoeg', zegt Bloeme Evers-Emden. Over de confrontatie met het decor van haar jeugd is ze kort: onwerkelijk. ‘Ik had daar al afscheid van genomen toen mijn ouders en zusje werden afgevoerd.'
Bloeme Evers-Emden (1926), die opgroeide in een ‘liefdevol joods gezin', blikt in haar rijtjeshuis aan de rand van Slotervaart terug op een rijk maar zwaar belast leven. Haar lot gaat over wat ‘thuis zijn' betekent als je alles hebt verloren en onder ogen moet zien dat het antisemitisme, zoals ze zegt, ‘weer salonfähig is geworden'.

Gaan we hier op zitten wachten? Laten we dit echt nog een tweede keer gebeuren?

Een agent voor elk huis...

"Je kan toch niet voor elk huis een agent gaan neerzetten?"

Dat zei Frits Bolkestein onlangs in het programma van Pauw en Witteman naar aanleiding van een citaat in het boek Het Verval van Manfred Gerstenfeld, waarin hij "bewuste" joden in Nederland adviseerde om maar te emigreren naar Israël of de Verenigde Staten omdat hij weinig vertrouwen had in het Nederlandse beleid om antisemitisme te bestrijden.

De VVD'er kwam met het voorbeeld van een joods gezin dat was weggepest door jongeren met een moslimachtergrond. "Dat gebeurde met smerige trucs, bijvoorbeeld door drollen door de brievenbus te gooien. Daar kan de politie niets aan doen. Je kan toch niet voor elk huis een agent gaan neerzetten?"

Klinkt logisch, nietwaar? De politie heeft meer te doen, bezit beperkte middelen en mankracht, een agent voor elk huis neerzetten lijkt er inderdaad gewoon niet in te zitten.

Wie schetst dus mijn verbazing bij het zien van het volgende artikel in De Telegraaf van deze ochtend:

Permanente politiepost bij huis Robert M.

AMSTERDAM - Bij het huis van Robert M. in Amsterdam staat dinsdagochtend een mobiele politiepost. Dat was maandag nog niet het geval. Toen reden er wel al met grote regelmaat politieauto's door de straat.

Robert M. wordt ervan verdacht op grote schaal kinderen te hebben misbruikt. Mogelijk heeft hij tientallen slachtoffers gemaakt. De Amsterdamse burgemeester Eberhard van der Laan liet eerder al weten dat de politie de woning van de verdachte beveiligt. Dat moet voorkomen dat mensen bijvoorbeeld vernielingen aanrichten. De adresgegevens van M. circuleren op internet.

Verbazingwekkend. Vernielingen en pesterijen bij een jood, homo, lesbiënne of zo maar een Nederlander en de politie geeft niet thuis. Het adres van een pedo die waarschijnlijk de spil is van een internationaal kiddiepornnetwerk verschijnt op het internet en de politie weet niet hoe hard ze moeten lopen om diens eigendommen te gaan beschermen, nota bene zelfs met een permanente politiepost.

De boodschap aan alle joden, homo's, lesbiënnes of zo maar Nederlanders is hiermee weer eens helemaal duidelijk. Because you're NOT worth it...

Doorheen de geschiedenis hebben machtshebbers een tactiek gebruikt om bezette gebieden en naties te destabiliseren en vernietigen. Deze methode is eenvoudig: immigratie. Importeer grote groepen vreemde mensen in het bezette land om de oorspronkelijke bevolking uit te dunnen en te verdelen.

De zaden van het conflict op de Balkan werden gezaaid toen de Turken bewust Albanese moslims importeerden in Kosovo, dit om de christelijke Serviërs uit te dunnen en te ontwortelen van land en omgeving. De christelijke Serviërs, die reeds lang de grenzen van de middeleeuwse christelijke wereld verdedigden en meermaals het tij keerden van het expanderende (Turkse) Ottomaanse rijk.

De Sovjet-Unie onder Stalin moedigde systematisch Russische emigratie aan naar de bezette Baltische staten in een langetermijncampagne ter russificatie en sovjetisering, totdat bijna 30 procent van de bevolking van Letland en Estland Russisch was.

Dezelfde principes gelden voor Noord-Amerika.
Hier is wat ik drie jaar geleden schreef.

Multiculturalisme is gewoon toepassing van de “verdeel en heers” tactiek. Heeft het zin om er de logica ervan te begrijpen? Misschien was het gewoon een handig excuus, gebruikt om de gevestigde orde van nationale staten te verstoren door hen te laten overstromen met massa-immigratie onder het mom van 'culturele diversiteit' of historische onvermijdelijkheid. Als dat het geval is, zoek er nooit een coherente logica achter, verspil er geen tijd aan. Veel van die besluiten werden niet eens geloofd door de verdedigers en uitvoerders ervan.

Multiculturalisme is de nieuwe Allah: niet begrijpen, gewoon gehoorzamen!
