Memorial Day and the conquest of Constantinople

As we remember, with a debt of gratitude we can never repay, those who have died to keep us free, let us also remember what the consequences will be if we lose this great defense against jihad that the free world isn’t even seriously fighting.

Today is May 29, the anniversary of the Muslim conquest of Constantinople, which took place on May 29, 1453.

It is useful, in our comfortable complacency and general lack of any historical memory at all, and overarching concern to avoid “Islamophobia,” to recall what happened when the Muslims entered the great city.

Robert Spencer: Ramadan is the Month of Jihad

Another Ramadan is upon us, and the Islamic State has called upon Muslims to show their piety during this month by carrying out jihad attacks in the U.S., Europe and Russia. In a new video, Muslims are told to “wait and hide for them,” that is, non-Muslims, “in houses, corners, roads,” and kill them. This is reminiscent of the Qur’an’s exhortation to “kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush” (9:5), and constitutes yet another reminder that Ramadan is quintessentially the month of jihad.

A jihad group explained it back in 2012: “The month of Ramadan is a month of holy war and death for Allah. It is a month for fighting the enemies of Allah and God’s messenger, the Jews and their American facilitators.” Referring to a jihad attack that happened at that time, the message continued: “One of our groups aided by Allah managed to bomb a bus full of Jewish tourists, plunderers of holy lands, after careful tracking. The holy war is not confined to a particular arena and we shall fight the Jews and the Americans until they leave the land of Islam.”

Muslim Bosnian soldiers of the 13th Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Handschar (1st Croatian) are called to prayer. The 13th Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Handschar was a mountain infantry division of the Waffen-SS, the armed wing of the German Nazi Party, that served alongside but was never formally part of the Wehrmacht. From March to December 1944, it fought a counter-insurgency campaign against communist-led Yugoslavian Resistance forces in the Independent State of Croatia, a fascist puppet state of Germany, that encompassed almost all of modern-day Croatia and all of modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as parts of Serbia. It was the first non-Germanic Waffen-SS division, and its formation marked the expansion of the Waffen-SS into a multi-ethnic military force. Composed mostly of Bosnian Muslims with some Catholic Croatian soldiers and German and Yugoslav Volksdeutsche (ethnic Germans living in Yugoslavia) officers, it took an oath of allegiance to both Adolf Hitler and the Fascist Croatian leader Ante Pavelić. Salman Abedi was weer een product van open grenzen

Het was precies als bij Anis Amri die met een truck ploegde door een kerstmarkt in Berlijn. Kwam uit Tunesië als ‘asielzoeker’ met een bootje. De truck kwam uit Polen. Amri werd uiteraard bij de grens niet gecontroleerd. Na zijn aanslag stapte hij op een bus, ging, met een wapen, probleemloos door Nederland en Frankrijk en werd tenslotte door puur toeval aangehouden en doodgeschoten door politie in Milaan. Hij had veertien nationaliteiten, en stond weliswaar op lijsten van de politie (hij verkeerde in salafistische kringen) maar hij werd nooit vast gezet. Ondanks het stempel ‘gevaarlijk.’ Informatie die binnen de politie overigens niet breed werd gedeeld. Amri werd verklaard tot ‘lone wolf’.
